The Gold Coast Inclusive Sport & Health Forum brought together a vibrant and passionate group of sport and allied health professionals, community leaders, and advocates committed to making sport more inclusive and accessible for people with disability.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the day—our speakers, panelists, facilitators, volunteers, and behind-the-scenes teams. Your time, energy, and openness helped shape an event filled with meaningful dialogue, connection, and action.
But more than the event itself, it’s the outcomes we’re most proud of:
Genuine cross-sector connections were made between community sport, allied health, local government, and national bodies.
We saw critical conversations take place around barriers, lived experiences, and opportunities for better systems and support.
Attendees walked away with practical tools and real-world examples to build inclusion in their own spaces—whether it’s clubs, clinics, schools, or organisations.
The forum reinforced the power of storytelling and collaboration in shaping more inclusive pathways from grassroots to elite performance.
Perhaps most importantly, the forum highlighted that inclusion is not a one-off initiative—it’s an ongoing practice that thrives through relationships, reflection, and shared leadership.
This forum was a step forward—but not the finish line. The momentum is real, and we’re excited to keep building alongside the people and organisations who are driving inclusive sport forward on the Gold Coast.
Thank you for being part of this important work.
